Privacy Policy

Last updated

This policy explains what personal information Post Office Digital Media Technologies INC (“PostX”, “we”, “us”) collects when you visit this website or contact us through it, how we use it and the choices you have. The short version: we only collect what you send us through the contact form plus standard technical logs, we use it to reply to you, and we never sell it.

01Who we are

PostX is the cinema technology brand of Post Office Digital Media Technologies INC. We decide how personal information collected through this website is used, which makes us responsible for it (the “data fiduciary” or “controller”, depending on the law that applies to you). You can reach us at hello@bypostoffice.com.

02Information we collect

Information you give us. When you send an enquiry through our contact form, we collect your full name, email address and phone number, and — if you choose to share them — your company name, the product you’re interested in and your message.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our hosting provider records standard technical details when a page loads: your IP address, browser and device type, the page requested and the date and time. This is used to deliver the site, keep it secure and fix problems.

We don’t ask for sensitive information such as financial or health details. Please don’t include it in your message.

03Cookies and tracking

This website doesn’t use advertising or analytics cookies, and we don’t track you across other websites. Fonts and images are served from our own domain. If we add analytics or cookies in the future, we’ll update this policy and ask for your consent where the law requires it.

04How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

  • respond to your enquiry and follow up about the products you asked about;
  • prepare demos, quotes or proposals you request;
  • operate, secure and improve this website;
  • meet our legal obligations and protect our rights.

We don’t sell or rent your personal information, and we won’t add you to a marketing list without your consent.

06Who we share it with

We share personal information only where needed, with:

  • Service providers who run this website and our enquiry process on our behalf — Vercel, which hosts the site, and Google, whose Apps Script and Sheets services receive and store contact form submissions.
  • Our own team and companies in our group, only as needed to handle your enquiry.
  • Authorities, when the law requires us to.
  • A successor business, if PostX is involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets — in which case this policy continues to protect your information.

07International transfers

Our service providers may store and process information on servers outside your country, including outside India. When they do, we rely on their contractual and security commitments to keep it protected.

08How long we keep it

We keep enquiry details for as long as we need them to respond to you and follow up on a potential business relationship, and then delete them — or sooner if you ask, unless the law requires us to keep them. Technical logs are kept by our hosting provider for a limited period.

09Your rights

Depending on where you live — for example under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, or the EU or UK GDPR — you may have the right to:

  • ask what personal information we hold about you and get a copy of it;
  • have inaccurate information corrected or updated;
  • have your information deleted;
  • withdraw consent, or object to or restrict how we use your information;
  • nominate someone to exercise these rights on your behalf.

To make a request, email hello@bypostoffice.com. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on it. If you’re unhappy with our response, you can complain to your local data protection authority, such as the Data Protection Board of India.

10Security

We protect your information with reasonable safeguards: the site is served only over HTTPS, the contact form is protected against spam, and access to enquiries is limited to the people who need it. No method of sending or storing data is completely secure, but we work to protect yours.

11Children

This website is meant for businesses and isn’t directed at children under 18. We don’t knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we’ll delete it.

12Other websites and our products

This website links to other services, such as the App Store and Google Play, which have their own privacy policies. This policy covers this website only. Our products — including the ADX app and systems we supply to venues — may come with their own privacy notices or contracts, and where they do, those apply.

13Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll change the “last updated” date above, and we’ll highlight significant changes on this website.

14Contact us

For questions, requests or complaints about this policy or your personal information, email hello@bypostoffice.com. We’ll respond as quickly as we can and within the time the law requires.
